Trish Stratus

Patricia Anne Stratigias (born December 18, 1975), better known by her stage name Trish Stratus, is a former Canadian fitness model and a retired professional wrestler. Formerly working for World Wrestling Entertainment, Stratus retired from WWE on September 17, 2006 after winning her seventh WWE Women's Championship, the most in WWE history. She is also a former WWF Hardcore Champion. As a fitness model, Trish Stratus worked for and appeared on the cover of MuscleMag International magazine. As a sports entertainer, she was proclaimed "Diva of the Decade" and was voted "WWE Babe of the Year" three times between 2001 and 2003.

Trish Stratus grew up in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada where she attended Bayview Secondary School. She enrolled at York University, studying biology and kinesiology. At York University, she played soccer and field hockey. Due to a teachers' strike in 1997, she was forced to change her plans. She worked as a receptionist at a local gym when she was approached by the publisher of MuscleMag International to do a test shoot for the magazine. She later appeared on the cover of the May 1998 issue and was signed to a two year contract. She then spent the next six months working on her body and began appearing on numerous magazine covers. She also began making regular appearances on the Internet radio show Live Audio Wrestling during this time. Her modeling work caught the attention of the World Wrestling Federation, and in November 1999 she was signed to a multi-year contract.

Trish Stratus is of Greek descent. Her parents are named John and Alice, and she is the second eldest of three sisters – Christie and Melissa. She married her long time boyfriend and high school sweetheart Ron on September 30, 2006 after being together for fourteen years. Guests in attendance at her wedding included former WWE Divas Molly Holly and Ivory. Her bridal gown was featured on a cover of Today's Bride magazine. Right after the marriage, Stratus got the call to be a part of Armed & Famous, so she filmed the show instead of going on her honeymoon. Before becoming a professional wrestler, Stratus had been a fan of wrestling since her childhood.
